What the call actually is
Thirty minutes, free, and a working session rather than a sales one. You do not need to prepare anything or know the terminology — bring the problem in whatever words you have for it.
Before
Nothing is required of you. If you already ran the free DNS health check you can paste the grade when you book, but it only saves us a few minutes — we look either way.
On the call
We go through what is actually exposed and what it would take to close it. That is either the identity your customers trust — whether someone can send email as your business, and whether your DNS can be tampered with — or the access your staff hold, meaning shared passwords in chat and accounts nobody can revoke when a person leaves. Whichever brought you here is where we start.
After
A written summary of what we found and what we would do about it, in the order we would do it. If you want a quote, it is a fixed fee for a defined scope — we never bill by the hour, because the effort genuinely varies and an hourly rate makes that your problem instead of ours. If you want to take the summary to your own IT provider instead, that is a perfectly good outcome and the summary is yours.
If nothing needs fixing, we will say so
There is no version of this call where we invent work. Plenty of domains come back clean, and being told that clearly is worth thirty minutes on its own. We would rather you left with nothing to buy and a reason to trust us later.
Equally, we will tell you when something is outside what we do. We are a specialist practice with two services, not a general agency, and pointing you elsewhere costs us nothing.
Common questions
Do I need to be technical?
No. Most of the people we speak to run the business, not the servers. We explain what is wrong in plain terms and put the technical detail in the written summary so you can hand it to whoever looks after your systems.
Is this really free, and is it a sales call?
Free, and there is no obligation. It is a sales call in the sense that we would like to work with you, and not in the sense that you will be pushed — if the honest answer is that you do not need us, that is the answer you get.
What will it cost if I do go ahead?
Engagements are quoted as a fixed fee after the review, once we know the size of the estate. heylogin licences are the one published number: USD 79 per user per year, sold at list price with no markup. See pricing for the detail.
Will changes take my email or website offline?
No. Changes are staged so nothing goes dark — DMARC in particular is rolled out in steps rather than switched on, precisely so legitimate mail is never caught. You get a before-and-after report and can re-run the free checker yourself at any point.
Am I locked in afterwards?
No. Everything we configure is in your own accounts, documented, and yours to keep. If you never speak to us again, nothing we did stops working.
